I am not amused
Jul. 2nd, 2007 10:32 amThe universe can play very dirty tricks. Case in point: The time to get an ear infection is not a few days before you will be spending close to 21 hours on an airplane. I opted for the cautious approach and have an appointment with my wonderful primary care provider at 4:15 today. I debated playing wait and see but it has been bothering me for 3 days and if I don't go today my next chance would be on Thursday (which would only give me 48 hours to get it under control).
In other happenings:
Dawn and I are a bit more on track with the presentation that is the reason for the trip to Australia. Well at least I now have the data.
I am amazed that on July 2, it was cool enough this morning to make snuggling under a throw comfortable.
Dinner last night hit the spot perfectly. I strongly disagree with those who say that they can't taste a difference in meat produced on conventional factory farms and pasture fed, organic meats. It was a simple steak and potatoes night but it was wonderful.
I called and left a message begging for a bump on the technology redistribution list this morning. I am locking my computer up several times a day because I ask more of my desktop than it can deliver. Not sure if begging will help but I figured it couldn't hurt.
Now it is time to go teach about measurement and sampling. Topics that should be covered in a few weeks must be covered in 90 minutes. Methods should NOT be taught in the summer and if I have a say it will never again be offered in this department in the summer.
